A TOAST TO THE STARS

Cognac Sorin“. Lithograph made by J. Spring, published by Vercasson in Paris, January 1928. Signed in the print on the lower right. Size (image): approx. 151 x 109 cm.

The artist follows the new design for advertising posters that started at the beginning of the 20th century with Leonetto Cappiello: one catchy theme, joyful, with exuberant colors, a striking image that you understand in a fraction of a second and never forget.

The pierrot raises his glass to the stars against that shine against a deep blue sky. The golden yellow returns in the glass and the brand name and emphasizes the special character of this cognac.
