Visscher <\/strong>in<strong> 1652<\/strong> te Amsterdam. In de tijd met de hand gekleurd. Afm. 44,5 x 56,6 cm.<\/p>\n<p>In tegenstelling tot andere Noord-Nederlandse provincies duurde het tot het midden van de 17de eeuw voordat er een betrouwbare kaart van Overijssel beschikbaar kwam. Tussen 1640 en 1650 werd de provincie in kaart gebracht in opdracht van de Staten van Overijssel door <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wieiswieinoverijssel.nl\/zoekresultaten\/p2\/165-nicolaas-ten-have\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nicolaas ten Have<\/a>, conrector van de Latijnse School in Zwolle. Zijn fraaie overzichtskaart in vier bladen kwam eindelijk uit in 1650 (of 1652?) en werd veelal los verspreid.<\/p>\n<p>De provincie betaalde Ten Have fl. 245 \u201c<em>over oncosten van het snijden van de plate van de kleijne caerte dezer Provincie<\/em>\u201d. Deze verkleinde kaart is geen getrouwe kopie van de grote kaart. De verkleining vergde weglating van details, toch bleef een evenwichtig kaartbeeld behouden. De verkleinde uitgave van de kaart van Ten Have is terug te vinden in een aantal Nederlandse atlassen uit de 17de en 18de eeuw. Onze kaart van <a href=\"https:\/\/nl.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Claes_Jansz._Visscher\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Claes Jansz.
