Later met de hand gekleurd. Afm. (kaartbeeld) 41 x 66 cm.<\/p>\n<p>We zien de stad vanaf een hoog fictief standpunt in Amsterdam Noord. Op dit vogelvlucht gezicht zijn de grotere gebouwen met enorm gevoel voor detaillering weergegeven. De individuele huizen staan er minder nauwkeurig op. De kaart toont onder andere de in 1854 gedempte <a href=\"https:\/\/inter-antiquariaat.nl\/antiek\/verkocht\/de-jordaan-p-j-lutgers-1857\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Goudsbloemgracht<\/a> en het <a href=\"https:\/\/archief.amsterdam\/beeldbank\/detail\/d52ef372-f1dd-631b-fe16-c70bfff36916\/media\/1dcaeb60-7157-3d23-f1dd-ec4c996ba32d?mode=detail&amp;view=horizontal&amp;q=hoofdgebouw%20artis&amp;rows=1&amp;page=8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hoofdgebouw van Artis<\/a>, dat in 1855 gebouwd werd. Het nationaal monument &#8220;De Eendracht&#8221;, beter bekend als &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/archief.amsterdam\/beeldbank\/detail\/0e80d63d-df77-60a6-4cf3-a65cf604da33\/media\/0dcc51b0-2911-62bd-8a7b-deadb2f88cbd?mode=detail&amp;view=horizontal&amp;q=Naatje%20van%20de%20Dam&amp;rows=1&amp;page=15\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Naatje van de Dam<\/a>&#8221; en onthuld in augustus 1856, staat echter nog niet ingetekend.<\/p>\n<p>Onder deze 2de uitgave zijn zestien kolommen opgenomen met &#8220;Voorname Gebouwen&#8221;. De kolommen worden gescheiden door naar boven wijzende pijlen. Als je de lijnen van de pijlen naar boven door zou trekken verdelen ze het kaartbeeld in stroken. De gebouwen die tegen de onderrand in de kolommen genoemd worden, staan ergens in de virtuele stroken daarboven. Sommige kolommen vermelden veel, andere mindere gebouwen. Kolom zestien bleef leeg. Het systeem is te zien als een voorloper van de later veel gebruikelijkere gridvlakken die normaal met A1 beginnen en die een corresponderend straatnamen-\/gebouwenregister hebben.<\/p>\n<p>19de-eeuws plattegronden als deze werden in kleine oplages gedrukt. Het waren gebruiksvoorwerpen op niet erg sterk papier bovendien.
