With original hand colouring and heightened with gold. Size: 51,2 x 59,9 cm.<\/p>\n<p>This nice map of the greater Balkan region, follows the course of the Danube from Passau to the Black Sea.<\/p>\n<p>The map was engraved during the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Great_Turkish_War\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Great Turkish War<\/a> between the <a title=\"Ottoman Empire\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ottoman_Empire\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ottoman Empire<\/a> and the <a title=\"Holy League (1684)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Holy_League_(1684)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Holy League<\/a> consisting of the <a title=\"Holy Roman Empire\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Holy_Roman_Empire\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Holy Roman Empire<\/a>, <a title=\"Polish\u2013Lithuanian Commonwealth\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Polish%E2%80%93Lithuanian_Commonwealth\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Poland-Lithuania<\/a>, <a title=\"Republic of Venice\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Republic_of_Venice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Venice<\/a>, <a title=\"Tsardom of Russia\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tsardom_of_Russia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Russia<\/a>, and <a title=\"Kingdom of Hungary (1526\u20131867)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kingdom_of_Hungary_(1526%E2%80%931867)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Habsburg Hungary<\/a>. Intensive fighting began in 1683 and ended with the signing of the <a title=\"Treaty of Karlowitz\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Treaty_of_Karlowitz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Treaty of Karlowitz<\/a> in 1699.
