George de Sonneville (1889-1978) was one of the founders of the “Salon des Indépendants Bordelais,” an artists’ association in Bordeaux modeled after the famous “Salon des Indépendants” of Paris. The Salon provided independent artists with the opportunity to exhibit their work outside of traditional art salons and established institutions starting from 1928.

In this group portrait of Les Dandys, we see the gentlemen who were members of this illustrious club. A depiction of elegance and individuality.
