Around the ship are a “chalouppe” and a “boot,” both used for transporting people or goods between the ship and shore, but it is also depicted how an anchor was hoisted from a sloop or how the anchor was tended to. Furthermore, we see the quarterdeck of an admiral’s ship, a ship camel, Jacob’s staff, a sea compass, an aequinoctial compass, and a compass rose.
