The Manpadsbrug, a connection between the Herenweg and the inner dunes, is located on the Leidsevaart between Haarlem and Leiden. On the left is the tavern ‘de Capel.’ This establishment served as a stopover for travelers using the towboat. In winter, there people were skating on the ice of the Leidsevaart.
